This notice explains how Estweld handles personal data when we contact people at industrial companies about welding recruitment, and what rights you have. It is written to satisfy Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you received an email from us and want to know why: we obtained your business contact details from a commercial business-contact dataset, because your role at your employer relates to welding, production, or engineering. We explain the source, the legal basis, and how to stop it below. You can object at any time and we will not contact you again.
Estweld is an Estonian-registered company that places experienced welders with industrial employers in the Nordic region. Estweld is the data controller for the processing described here.

For business contacts at prospective client companies, we process only professional-context data:

We do not build profiles of individuals and we make no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We did not collect your details from you directly. They came from a commercially available business-contact dataset compiled from public and business sources. We tell you this because Article 14 of the GDPR requires it when data is obtained from a third party rather than from you.
Purpose: to identify companies with a welding recruitment need and to contact the person responsible for that function with a relevant service offer.
Legal basis: legitimate interests, GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Our legitimate interest is business-to-business direct marketing, which Recital 47 of the GDPR expressly recognises.
We have carried out and documented a balancing assessment weighing our interest against your rights. In summary: we contact you only in your professional capacity, only about your own job function, only where your employer shows evidence of welding work, with a limited follow-up sequence, and with a one-step opt-out in every message. You may request a summary of that assessment using the contact details in section 1.
We do not sell, rent, or share your contact data with third parties for their own marketing. Data may be processed by service providers acting on our instructions — for example email and hosting providers — under written terms requiring them to protect it.
If you do not engage with us, we delete your contact details within 12 months of the last contact attempt. If you object or unsubscribe, we retain the minimum record necessary — your email address on a suppression list — solely to ensure we never contact you again. That is a legal obligation to honour your objection, not continued marketing.
You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we must stop. Under Article 21(2) this right is unconditional — we do not weigh it against anything, we simply stop. Reply to any message with "unsubscribe", or use the contact details in section 1.
We respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to a supervisory authority — either the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), as our lead authority, or the authority in your own country, such as IMY in Sweden, Datatilsynet in Norway or Denmark, or the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
This notice covers business contacts at prospective client companies. If you are a welder applying to work with us, a separate notice applies to your application data — we will provide it at the point you apply.
If we change how we use personal data we will update this notice and change the date at the top.
